 I had the honour of judging the annual WestieAlliansens Official Championship Show on the 31st August 2013. From an entry of 84 dogs I chose White Villan You Know as my Best In Show and Dog CAC winner. He is owned and shown by Connie Krokvik and was bred by Minna Jaakola. Best Opposite Sex was SE UCH NO UCH FIN UCH Tweed Time Will Tell bred and owned by Birgitta and Catharina Hasselgren. Bitch CAC winner from Open Bitch was Riwals Viva Espana bred and owned by Kerstin and Jennie Walther. Best Puppy In Show was Terrawestie Take A Look bred and owned by Hilde Gullaksen. Not only was I impressed by the main winners but also by the overall quality of the entry. A credit to the breeding programmes in the Scandinavian countries and also there has clearly been careful use of overseas stock. I would like to say a big thank you to the exhibitors for allowing me the opportunity to judge their dogs and also to the show organisers for the wonderful hospitality extended to my wife Denise and I. We had a super time at Sastaholm and courtesy of Birgitta Hasselgren who kindly offered to show us the town we saw some of the wonderful sights of Stockholm on sunday. A special thank you to Niclas Sevemar for looking after Denise and I throughout our stay. For us a trip never to be forgotten and big congratulations to all the winners. |
